Ultimately the goal of his art is to achieve a pleasing composition with a wide range of tonal values and usually a mix of warm and cool colors. In other words, his objective is to produce a work that is pleasing to the eye when you see it on the wall every day.
Right now this site is about offering high quality and affordable photographs that have been made in all parts of the world. Recently he's been focusing on Texas, New Mexico and New England locations.
Photography:
His technique varies from straight shots on a tripod to long exposure and multiple exposure images. He has a Sony camera with a large, "full frame" sensor which produces high resolution pictures that are very sharp and affordable at sizes such as 20x30 inches. He prefers to print them on Aluminum, which gives them a sharp, glossy, modern look. Plus they are ready to mount on the wall without further, expensive framing cost. You just need two thin nails, a level and a tape measure.
He usually takes the Raw image into software to modify it in various ways , including expanding its dynamic range(lightening shadows etc.) and taking out distracting objects. The goal is to get a clean image with some "pop" to it. As with all art, you should mount it away from direct sunlight.
